A gang of women has been reported to be active in Rawalpindi, targeting jewellery stores. In one such incident, a group of women reportedly stole a gold necklace worth over Rs1.8 million from a jewellery shop in the Bani area. CCTV footage has emerged showing the women acting as customers in the shop, browsing the jewellery. One of the women was seen swiftly lifting a six-tola gold necklace and hiding it in her dupatta without anyone noticing. She was then seen covering the necklace with a shawl before leaving the shop. The women were later seen leaving the premises and getting into a rickshaw. After the theft, the shop owners discovered the necklace was missing and reported the incident.
