Boy drowns in school swimming pool

A 13-year-old boy has drowned in the swimming pool of a private school in Khayaban-e-Jinnah. The victim, Saad, lost his life on the spot. Sources revealed that the victim, Saad, was not a student of the school but had accompanied his younger brother for swimming. The incident happened in the presence of a swimming coach. Saad fell unconscious while in the pool and was rushed to a hospital located on Raiwind Road, but he passed away. After the incident, the school has postponed swimming classes till July 19 and also cancelled an inter-campus competition. The victim's father Javaid Iqbal complained about the absence of first aid in the school. He also claimed that the school did not have any vehicle available to transport Saad to the hospital.
