2 brothers 'killed by accomplices'

Police claimed that two brothers were gunned down by their accomplices during an encounter in the wee hours of Sunday. According to the police, the suspects were fleeing after committing a robbery when personnel chased on the basis of information received near Chak 429/EB, in the jurisdiction of Sheikh Fazil police station. Seeing the personnel, the men opened fire at a police van, prompting retaliation. During the shootout, two suspects identified as Amjad and Arshad, residents of Chak 517/EB suffered bullet injuries blamed by the police on the firing by their accomplices.
